Why I chose to start a personal video blog (aka vlog), and answers to some of your (great!) questions about the why & how… I look forward to hearing your comments! ;-)

About Lynn Terry

Very interesting idea Lynn. I’ve thought lately that I need to increase my video presence as well but creating another blog just for that purpose is something I’ve decided not to do. After all, I have 5 blogs; if I can’t find a place to put my videos with all of that then I need to slap myself silly. lol

LOL That may be true! I will create videos for my low carb blog and my business blog, and put them there, but this is just something totally separate for me – a place to “be myself” and talk about personal things. :D

Hey Lynn – Two things here that did exactly what video is all about in my opinion. We do video to get personal with people – to turn that little piece of glass into a warp zone and bring them right there with us – to let them see inside our heart.

“I want to live my life out there – and with you”. That one line is why we hang around people online. Usually we watch videos because we are either entertained by the video, want to learn something the person can teach us or we want to have the person as a friend, even if it is a long-distance relationship. You’ve got all that covered, girl!

The second one was right at the end – “shoot video, put it up and share my life with you”. It’s kind of like popping over for a quick cup of coffee with our best next-door friend. Love it!

Thank you Sherie. :D A high compliment coming from you, considering you have much more experience with video than I do! I appreciate the feedback. Looking forward to that next coffee (or dinner) IN PERSON too. ;-)

    Hi Lynn,

Amazing! I have been a follower of your friend Ed Dale and his videos for the past five years or so but, with this you seem to be kicking it up a notch. GOOD ON YA!!! Not everyone would be able to do this but I feel that you are really comfortable at this level.

I sincerely wish you success with your experiment. I am suitably impressed. (not that that even matters)

I follow some other blogs (not Vlogs) of friends with the intent to reading/viewing every new post and making a reply. I am making a personal commitment to do the same with you.

I applaud your creative talent to take web 2.0 to the next level of personal computing and I am happy to be able to be part of what you are doing.

This is very exciting like being on the Star ship Enterprise ” Boldly going where no man has gone before” – Engage!!!

    smiles :)

    Gary

    p.s. Dwayne, buckle up! lol

Congrats, Lynn. I think it’s a great idea separating your personal blog from your business blog. I’ve certainly enjoyed being a stickbeak! :)
