What do you wear to work? I’d be curious to know what you’re wearing right now, even.
Feel free to do a video reply at YouTube, or tag me on Facebook with a quick photo!

I’m kinda like you.
I roll out of bed around 6am, change into clean yoga pants and a t-shirt, put my hair up in a clip, add some flip flops and call me done.
I stay that way during my most productive time which runs until about 1pm and then I decide if I need to take a shower & what not . It usually depends if I’m leaving the house or not.
LOL we’re definitely a lot alike
haha
Sometimes if my hair gets too crazy, I put clips in it – whatever clips I can find in my desk drawer, that is. Paper clips, report clamps whatever. All fine and good until the UPS guy knocks on the door.
With me it really depends on my mood, some days I wear my robe till lunch and other days I feel the need to be pretty and actually fix myself up because I do like to dress up and that is the one thing I miss working at home.
Ha, I’m bad to go to the grocery store in my PJ’s – and complain about having to “be dressed” all day when I’m at events & conferences, lol. I’ll often take my lunch break in my room just so I can get back in my PJ’s for an hour or so.
LOL! My house is always cold when I get up, so I throw on what I refer to as my “snow suit”. It’s a lovely fleece sweatsuit and I can usually be found wearing it from 5:30 a.m. until the spirit moves me to take a shower. Usually that’s before lunch! I’m most productive early in the day, so why waste time “getting ready”. I do that when I need a break or some time to refocus. Besides, I feel quite productive wearing my snow suit!
LOL @ snow suit!
I’m the same way. I’m too geared up for work to bother with showering and primping. Most days I just shower and get straight back into (clean) PJ’s anyway.
At this moment, it’s 9:38 am and I’m in my PJs and robe. There are many, many days where I never get out of my PJs. I do take a long soaking bath every night – so I am bathing every day, and if I’ve been in my PJ’s all day, I put on fresh PJs after my bath.
But I do sometimes get up and get dressed. What I am wearing needs to be comfortable for me to work. I do not find ‘work clothes’ (especially shoes!) to be comfortable.
Shoes, lol – I hear ya. I live in fuzzy socks.
I too am a member of the comfortable dress club. That sometimes means changing clothes to get the mail or answer the door. I only begin the day by putting on more traditional working gear if I have a meeting to attend or a client to meet.
Sometimes I forget what time it is and have to hurry to get presentable before my husband comes home. He’s beyond the “Did you really wear that all day?” stage, but I don’t want him to be jealous that I can wear whatever I want.
LOL! :p I cracked up imagining him saying that to you, haha! It’s 3:15 in the afternoon here and I just answered the door to pay my yard crew – in my usual plaid PJ pants and barefoot. They don’t even act shocked anymore.
Lynn, I think your work look is pretty cute.
I guess I dress like Jay Leno around the house this time of year. However Jay only wears jeans and denim shirts when not on TV. I often start the day with a bit of tool stuff in the garage or yard work, so the denim look works. This is Texas, though, so in the summertime it’s strictly shorts, a t-shirt and sandals for home-work wear.
LOL, thanks Wade
haha
No way I could wear denim all day. I think I’m one of the reasons they come up with those denim looking pajamas. lol. Which I would never wear, btw.
Hey Lynn,
Call me traditional but I do dress for the day.
I have a regular routine which includes getting dressed in shirt and pants. A shower every second day, or more if I am going out. Meals at the usual times and a walk/nap in the afternoon.
I wear a tie at least three to four times a week when I’m out because I still do some local community work. I am trending more toward tele-meeting for any distance events. It saves on travel and time.
I hope you are having an AWESOME hair up, PJ, working day!
smiles
p.s. 12:20 and thinking about lunch. (ham and cheese on brown bread) I have a pot luck supper to attend tonight. LOL

Nice to see a picture of you, Gary!
So you’re a routine kinda person, hey? I’m pretty routine myself, but then I tend to change it up from time to time – just for kicks. *cheers*
Hi Gary,
Good to have a picture here of you, but where is your tie?
Hey Karen,
Thanks for your reply. I’ll tell you what. The very next time that I wear a tie I will post a picture. (It should be Wednesday, this week)
Just an update for everyone: I am just home from a great pot luck supper for the closing of my computer class that I taught this winter. Awesome food! (one of my 2012 goals completed…yea!)
The class was wonderful an gave me enough gift cards to keep me in coffee @timmies for the forseeable future.
Carolyn, the stroke coordinator for our province called this morning to ask if I would serve on a provincial stroke committee. (the first meeting is scheduled for Thursday morning and I am to be tied in via conference call)
We had a wonderful inspiring presentation by Laura-Jane Koers (a good friend) http://www.therawtarian.com last Saturday at our writers guild meeting. Note to self: I have to send out a notice of meeting tonight as we are meeting again this coming Saturday.
I hope everyone is having an AWESOME day!
smiles
Congrats on completing your goal, Gary!
I usually am in PJ’s most of the day, shorts and t-shirt. Lately M, W, F I have had to be at the vet for our kitty so I’ll get up and throw and outfit on, sometimes with makeup, sometimes without.
Here’s my video reply

Sorry it’s so fuzzy lol
Yay – a video reply! But no fair you were dressed in yours haha. So I have a question for you. When you get home do you *stay* dressed… or do you change back into your comfies??
Oh boy, I usually get right back into Pj’s or comfies. Or into my workout gear and then after shower right back into comfies lol
Hope your cat is better soon.
Is that a parrot I hear in the background of your video?
Yes, no fair being all fancied up in your video, LOL, but nice to see you in it.
Brave of you all to post pics, and videos of yourselves.
Hi Lynn,
It is fun to see you in your native attire
, and fun to see everyone’s replies.
My “uniform” around the house these days does not change much.
When it’s chilly/cold, which is much of the year here, I wear sweatpants, a turtleneck, warm socks, and a sweater vest.
If it’s super cold, I’ll add some long johns in silk, or in light cotton.
(This old house is very drafty.)
In warmer times, I will wear a long-sleeved tee shirt, thinner sweats (or lightweight drawstring pants).
Sometimes, I still need the sweater vest even in the summer, and the socks are the same kind all year.
Shoes are closed-back clogs. All clothes, by the way, are men’s, too.
My hair grows like a weed, so it’s in one, or two long braids. (Like you Lynn, I used to clip my hair with whatever was handy, or secure a bun with a pencil, but my hair is now way too long. It’s down to my waist, or a bit below again. I cut it often, but it just keeps growing.
)
After decades of having to dress up for work in a suit, dress, or the like; put on makeup; do my hair; wear uncomfortable shoes; etc. I am happy to be in my new uniform now.
If I had to again wear those constricting clothes, and do all the rest, I would not be happy, nor would I be as productive.
I hear you – I don’t think I could go back again!
My hair was quite long before I moved here and had an “incident” with a new hairdresser – heh. Ugh. Anyway, there’s a picture of me floating around somewhere with my long hair in braids wearing my men’s jeans and earth sandals. LOL. I so need to dig that one up.
The dreaded “incident.” It can be devastating.
Who among us here has not had one, or more with a hairdresser? I’ve had a few, some more drastic than others.
While I’m not quite ready to post a picture of myself here, please do post that one if you find it.
Earth sandals…If you mean something like the Birkenstock sandal from the sixties, I could never get comfortable in them.
Other than my clogs, I prefer boots of many kinds, including cowboy boots, or other types of comfy shoes.
If my feet hurt, I can get a tad cranky.
They were very comfy, made my Dr. Scholles if I remember correctly. Gosh, did I even spell that right? I wore them year round for many years – until a “friend” of mine commented how ugly they were, lol. I think her exact words as we were walking out the door were… “are you sure you want to wear THOSE?” hahaha
I now wear “cute shoes”, if I wear shoes at all (rarely) – but always shoes that are easy to slip off, because that’s what I do as soon as I get settled wherever I’m going.
Pajama pants, preferably capri length if it’s warm enough. Tank top, again if it’s warm enough – I hate sleeves when I work!
Slippers that I kick off and slip back on depending on the temperature of my toes at any given moment.
Since I shaved my head, my hair hasn’t been an issue. It is just now getting long enough to be unforgiving again. I have loved being able to run out the door without a thought about it – but I am glad it’s getting some length back!
Hi Kelly,
Love the freedom of having no hair to wrangle. It really cuts down on prep time, and saves $ on shampoo, etc.
I once got a crew cut (1/8 inch on sides, 1/4 inch on top), and I loved it.
Total strangers, and friends, kept coming up to me to rub my head for good luck. LOL
I love your new look, Kelly! Do you have a link you can share here about why you shaved your head? I recall seeing it once but it’s been awhile back…
I got a really cool blog post AND video response from Tiffiney Cowan today: http://tiffineysblog.com/lynn-terry-asks-what-are-you-wearing-my-video-response
That was fun to see. By the way Tiffiney, you look, and sound, just fine.
Your dog is lovely, too.
Other than gravatars, I think that so far only Angie, and Gary have posted visuals of themselves on this post here (though I am still “waiting” for a picture of Gary in his tie. LOL)
As I’ve said before, I applaud the bravery of those willing to post videos, and/or photos of themselves on here, and elsewhere.
I can commiserate with Tiffiney about the shock of seeing, and hearing oneself, and with the many takes to finalize a video.
As for our self-images, as someone else mentioned over on Tiffiney’s blog, we can be our own worst critics, and often way too hard on ourselves.
Lynn,
Thank you for your encouragement to get this video done! I’m excited – sort of (lol) to do more. I found you on g+ via your video posts. I can see how it can be a really useful tool.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Now that you “broke the seal”
you’ll have a blast with it. And you’re a total natural! Your sweet pup will be a big hit with your viewers too.
