About Lynn Terry
I'm best known online for my Internet Marketing Blog and my Low Carb Diet blog (where I also talk about my fun travel adventures). But there is SO much more to me than work, food & travel. Which is why we're here. ;-) So let your hair down and let's have some REAL fun! *cheers*
My favorite feature, do you mean my looks? I guess I like my facial features, except at the moment I have a double chin that marrs my otherwise otherwordly beauty…
I don’t get a ton in the mail but I did get a really cute Thanksgiving card that wished me a Weinerful Thanksgiving. It had a precious picture of a dachshund on the front that looks like my Magnum.
My favorite feature about myself is a personality trait: that I am open minded and objective. While I have strong opinions, I appreciate they are limited to my own frame of reference, and respect the same in others – even in sticky situations.
My turn! What is your favorite thing about Christmas, that you look forward to the most?
My favorite thing about Christmas is not exactly about the holiday itself, but how some people behave at that time of year.
It tends to bring out the good in people, which is great. I would love to see more of the same all year round, but that is my favorite part.
As for what I look forward to the most, I enjoy the fun, creative decorations on houses, etc., and if I am in the right climate, I love the snow, working fireplaces, and all that comes with them.
That is more like many things, versus thing, so I hope it’s not against the rules. ;-O
My happy place would be the two mile stretch down the river and back with my sidekick, Slim. That is OUR spot, and we’ve marked it appropriately (lol).
Board game? I guess I would have to say chess. I am not that great of a chess player but the story is that I taught myself how to play chess before I was twenty with the use of an encyclopedia. (no Internet in those days) I guess I just love everything about chess. Thanks for asking…
I like fuchsia and a deep red, because Satu said they looked nice on me, lol. But typically I wear very earthy colors. Working on going a little brighter.
Oh you surprised me!!! I thought your favorite color was purple?
TV series…oh just one? I can’t, I must throw caution to the wind – be wild and reckless at least once in my life! I’m going to break the rules! nanananaaaaa .
NCIS, Shark Tank, Castle, HGTV/anything about home remodeling and design and most everything on the Food Channel…
I know there’s more, I just don’t want to push my luck. My keyboard might be struck by lighting if I get too crazy here!
I’m not big on breakfast so I usually have almonds & string cheese at my desk. But when I do crave something, I like a sausage egg mcmuffin from McDonalds – without the mcmuffin. Otherwise dinner leftovers suits me just fine!
My favorite restaurant is the Gulfstream Cafe, here in Murrells Inlet at the Marina. It’s a favorite spot to watch the sunset and eat good food, and they have enough low carb options so I have more than one entree to select. That’s not to say I don’t eat at Fast Food places whenever I get the chance, I just don’t eat the bread.
My biggest concerns right now are health and fitness. I am in the process of creating new habits, of course eating better over the last year and a half (low carb), and ultimately plan to quit smoking again – for good this time.
This was an interesting question in that it was quite revealing for me. My first and almost immediate response was “spiders”. But that’s not really a big fear, it’s more of a “dislike” – I would gladly let someone else remove and/or squash it but if I had to, I would do it myself.
So I thought and thought and while I couldn’t come up with any (for lack of better word) physical fears. The only thing I could think of was an imaginary/in the future “worry” based fear -like losing my Mom.
Ahh – yes I quit a few years ago, but started back. And really enjoy it. I mentioned it in my more recent video (Questions You Didn’t Ask) and will have a more detailed update soon.
New Zealand I flew into Auckland once on my way home from Australia, for a brief 4 hour stay. Just flying in and out gave me an opportunity to get a birds eye view of it – which was just fabulous! And of course I did some shopping while I was there. As for why – it draws me. I would love to go for a nice week or two and explore the beaches and the local beauty!
My turn! If you were an animal, which animal would you be – and why?
Oh, I’d be an eagle (maybe a vegetarian one, I don’t fancy eating small rodents). As for why – because my biggest drive is towards freedom, it’s the one thing I’d fight for. And you don’t get much freer than living on the wing and making a nest in an inaccessible place
I used to be a huge gamer. In fact, when I had my shop I did custom computer builds for gamers and hosted Network Game Tournaments every weekend!
I haven’t played computer games for years now, so my current favorite is Double Cut Throat Pinochle (a card game). If you’re familiar with Spades, it’s like Spades… on acid. Awesome game!
Now to find three other people to play with… LOL. (I used to play in online tournaments, and even met my partners “IRL” for a weekend).
My turn: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what’s the first thing you would miss?
Now that my children are almost raised, I’ve been thinking a lot about that. I only have a year or two left before my youngest is out of the house.
It’s a toss up between Chattanooga, TN and somewhere south of Melbourne, Australia. Both places have beautiful energy – and great friends. Quite the contrast I know, but time will tell where life will lead me.
As for the house, with the kids raised I will likely go for something more conservative (smaller). Low maintenance is nice as I intend to travel even more in my 40′s.
Speaking of – what’s your favorite room in your home?
Gosh, I have TONS of books on my to-read list, lol. Currently “Do More Great Work” and “Persuasion” – which are both sitting here on my desk waiting for me to dig in.
Most people don’t realize the true difference between and introvert and and extrovert. I’m an introvert myself, and I get the same thing! It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re shy.
Hmm. Rule Follower probably, but I’ve been known to break a rule here and there. Only in the name of fun, though.
Where did you hide Slim & Billy? :p
They were behind me being good pups: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151277047913609&set=a.10150208106398609.327353.666328608&type=1
My turn! What is your favorite feature about yourself?
Ooh, they look adorable AND inseparable!
My favorite feature, do you mean my looks? I guess I like my facial features, except at the moment I have a double chin that marrs my otherwise otherwordly beauty…
LOL I so love your sense of humor!
You’re a beauty!!
If you could be anywhere doing anything other than what you’re doing where you are right now, what would it be and where?
Ooh good one, Tracy! I would be at DiamondHead Beach Resort having drinks with all my favorite girlfriends, and laughing till sunrise!
My turn: What’s the last interesting thing you got in the mail??
I don’t get a ton in the mail but I did get a really cute Thanksgiving card that wished me a Weinerful Thanksgiving. It had a precious picture of a dachshund on the front that looks like my Magnum.
What is your absolute favorite thing to eat? (even if it isn’t low carb)
Sushi!!!!
What’s your favorite animal to see at the zoo?
The polar bears … so cute and cuddly!
Hello all,
What a fun game, Lynn.
Hmm…I’m going to ask you a question that you asked someone on here, as it is a good one (and then you can’t ask it of me).
What is your favorite feature about yourself?
For many months now, I’m on here a lot less than desired, so let me get this “out there” now:
Wishing all here a Happy, Healthy, Joyous Holiday Season, however each of you celebrates it (or not).
Of course, in all fairness, I will come back to answer any question posed to me here.
Cheers,
Karen D.

My turn!
What is your favorite thing about Christmas, that you look forward to the most?
Good answer.
My favorite thing about Christmas is not exactly about the holiday itself, but how some people behave at that time of year.
It tends to bring out the good in people, which is great. I would love to see more of the same all year round, but that is my favorite part.

Ho, ho, ho!
Love it!
Hey Lynn,
I almost always leave a comment. LOL
I don’t think I know the answer to this question.
Everybody has a favorite happy place, so my question where is your most favorite “happy place” and can you tell us a little bit about it?
The name game is always a favorite with me. http://youtu.be/4s1safp44V4
I hope you are having an AWESOME game playing and having fun day!
Smiles,
p.s. It is still Monday here,,, We’re only two hours ahead of you. Looking forward to learning more about your time travelling adventures.
My happy place would be the two mile stretch down the river and back with my sidekick, Slim.
That is OUR spot, and we’ve marked it appropriately (lol).
So Gary, what’s your favorite board game??
Thanks! It sounds like a great place.
Board game? I guess I would have to say chess. I am not that great of a chess player but the story is that I taught myself how to play chess before I was twenty with the use of an encyclopedia. (no Internet in those days) I guess I just love everything about chess. Thanks for asking…
Um….ok, let’s see, what’s your most favorite color to wear?
I like fuchsia and a deep red, because Satu said they looked nice on me, lol. But typically I wear very earthy colors. Working on going a little brighter.
My turn! What’s your favorite TV series?
Oh you surprised me!!! I thought your favorite color was purple?

I know there’s more, I just don’t want to push my luck. My keyboard might be struck by lighting if I get too crazy here!
Fun! And you asked my favorite color to wear, not my favorite color.
I do love purple!!
What’s your favorite funny movie or blog?
I just watched Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World and totally loved it – hilarious!!
What’s your favorite animated/Disney movie?
WALL-E is my favorite. It’s got humor, excitement, and romance…and it’s cute!
This is hard since, well you know…
Ok, my question…what is your favorite pasttime activity?
Hmm. At the moment it’s a toss up between reading books that warp my brain… and hiking Burgess Falls.
My turn – what’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve done recently?
Bwahaha! Can I invoke the fifth on this?
I would have to say the most spontaneous thing I’ve done recently is deciding to take on my very busy 11 month old pseudo-granddaughter for the day.
Boring, I know, to most. But if you’re familiar with active toddlers, you know this can be rather spontaneous.
LOL I bet THAT was a fun day! Seriously, I’m sure you totally enjoyed it. You’re an awesome “mom” – a natural at it.
See you at breakfast Wednesday… where I can get your REAL answer to that question.
ha!
Indeed!
What’s your favorite Low Carb breakfast? I can never decide what to eat in the morning.
I’m not big on breakfast so I usually have almonds & string cheese at my desk. But when I do crave something, I like a sausage egg mcmuffin from McDonalds – without the mcmuffin.
Otherwise dinner leftovers suits me just fine!
My turn: what’s your favorite restaurant?

Hi Lynn,
With regard to personal development, what area do you feel needs the most improvement and why?
My biggest concerns right now are health and fitness. I am in the process of creating new habits, of course eating better over the last year and a half (low carb), and ultimately plan to quit smoking again – for good this time.
What’s one of your biggest fears?
Oh – and I missed the “why” … because I want to be at my absolute BEST in my 40′s
Wow, I would have never known you were a smoker, that is interesting in itself.
Ahh – yes
I quit a few years ago, but started back. And really enjoy it. I mentioned it in my more recent video (Questions You Didn’t Ask) and will have a more detailed update soon.
Lynn, where in the world haven’t you been yet that you would most like to go and why?
(I think that counts as one question! lol)
New Zealand
I flew into Auckland once on my way home from Australia, for a brief 4 hour stay. Just flying in and out gave me an opportunity to get a birds eye view of it – which was just fabulous! And of course I did some shopping while I was there.

Oh, this is fun!
Can we ask more than one question? =)
What’s your favorite videogame? (or, if you don’t play any, your favorite game in general – board game or something)
Sure – why not! Ask away

Now to find three other people to play with… LOL. (I used to play in online tournaments, and even met my partners “IRL” for a weekend).
My turn: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what’s the first thing you would miss?
Hmmm, that’s a good question… it would be either my computer or my e-reader, can’t decide =)
If you could live anywhere in the world, in whatever house you want, where and what would that be?
Now that my children are almost raised, I’ve been thinking a lot about that. I only have a year or two left before my youngest is out of the house.
It’s a toss up between Chattanooga, TN and somewhere south of Melbourne, Australia. Both places have beautiful energy – and great friends.

Speaking of – what’s your favorite room in your home?
That would be my room – it’s not decorated yet, so it’s still full of possibilities
Wish I could ask that question back *lol* What’s on your to-read list?
Gosh, I have TONS of books on my to-read list, lol. Currently “Do More Great Work” and “Persuasion” – which are both sitting here on my desk waiting for me to dig in.
What color are your eyes?
They’re grey-blue. More grey than blue, but my boyfriend swears they get more blue when I’m happy =)
Can’t think of any more questions right now… but maybe I’ll be back with more, this is fun!
Since you said we can ask more than 1 question . . .
Name 3 of your all time favorite books – not novels.
The Bible
Think and Grow Rich (Napoleon Hill)
Socialnomics
(so many more, hard to narrow it down to three!)
What’s the last book you read, fiction or non?
Don’t read too much fiction so it’s a non-fiction book titled: “The Happiness Advantage” by Shawn Achor
Do you use coupons?
Sounds like a great title!
I’ve had good intentions with coupons, but I rarely remember to use even the ones that I save, lol.
Do you consider yourself an extrovert or an introvert?
If you’re asking me, I would, without hesitation say, introvert. However, most people laugh when I say that.
Are you more of a “rule follower” or “rule breaker”?
Most people don’t realize the true difference between and introvert and and extrovert. I’m an introvert myself, and I get the same thing! It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re shy.
Hmm. Rule Follower probably, but I’ve been known to break a rule here and there. Only in the name of fun, though.
