Now that you’ve had a chance to get to know me a little better, I’m curious… how would you describe me?
Just leave a quick comment, with a short response – a few words or a sentence at the most. It will be interesting to see just how well you know me! haha…
And yes, this IS an ironic follow-up to my video about being sensitive to comments (lol). I’m opening myself up (wide open) for some interesting criticism, I’m sure.
That’s okay – I have my armor on!

Mini-Me: because honestly you and I are more alike than not. LOL So naturally I think you’re completely normal.
3 words huh… hilarious, honest, generous!
Just 3 words … OK … funny, generous, intelligent
ambitious, good hearted, smart
I didn’t think you were such a dog lover – love that!
LOL I didn’t either – until I met a great dane a couple of years ago and then adopted Slim. Now I’m totally in love!
This is, briefly, how I’ve actually described you to others before: Smart, likeable, cute, with an amazing sort of business sense or business wisdom that communicates well to others.
Lynn, I can’t narrow you down to just 3 descriptive words. I’ll pick 3 things about you that SURPRISED me. How’s that?
1) You are more outdoorsy than I expected – water skiing, fly fishing, hiking…
2) You are as introverted as I am…
3) You’re warmer and funnier in person…
Oh, gotta add one more – 4) that you fell so head-over-heels, crazy-in-love with your very first dog! (Slim’s more than worth it though!)
Ahh outdoorsy. Yes – and add camping, nature walks, tubing the river, walking Slim in shallow creeks when it’s too hot to walk anywhere else… lol.
Straightforward, opinionated, fun-loving…
As my mother-in-law likes to say, “We’re all alike in different ways!”
Smart, strategic and fuuunn-eeee, well you appeal to my weird sense of humor anyway
Hey Lynn,
1. Loyal 2. honest 3. nurturing/protective 4. warm 5. intelligent
6. capable 7. funny/quirky/goofy 8. independent 9. curious
10. adventurous 11. teacher/leader 12. naturally reserved
13. spiritual 14. survivor 15. practical 16. organized
17. opinionated (in a good way) 18. accomplished
19. connected 20.professional 21. confident
bonus: successful
Just break them down any way that you want. These are just 21 ingredients that I have noted in the person I have come to know as “Lynn Terry”.
I am sure there are some that I have missed but that just goes to show that complex should be there as well. others would be positive, naturally attractive, passionate, relaxed and need I go on.
It’s hard to articulate your qualities Lynn let alone boil them down into three. You are you! All facets of the diamond that is a “gem find” for us to have gotten the opportunity to know and love you as a friend. A heartfelt thank you!
I hope you are having an AWESOME being Lynn Terry day!
smiles,
p.s. It’s very hard to imagine an improved (hotter) Lynn Terry 2.0. LOL If you think you can, then “BRING IT”!!!
Oh I’m gonna “bring it” alright. You just watch and see.
I am getting REALLY excited about my 40′s, and have just over a year to step into that decade as my best self.
Three words… hmmm, private, personable and capable! Thanks for being all three and being willing to share that with everyone.
p.s. not sure how others have their pics I am not really trying to be incognito… just never saw a place, although I’ve looked, to add a pic.
Marge, the picture comes (hopefully) from a uploaded photo in your profile (possibly only for private forum members, too many years since I did it) Lynn’s probably distracted due to problems with her Clicknewz Site, as am sure she otherwise would have responded to you by now and if I’m wrong as to the process she will correct it
Actually, I was at Curves doing a Zumba class
lol
Marge, you’ll find it at http://www.gravatar.com Just create an account there and the email address you use is the one you’ll want to use when leaving blog comments. It works across ALL wordpress blogs as long as you use the same email as your Gravatar account.
Hi Lynn,
As someone who has been in the internet marketing space for some time, its so refreshing to come across someone like you who is a mother and successful business women and I really came across this blog with no preconceptions of who you were as such. I had read previous blog posts from Clicknewz so I knew you were someone who knew what they were talking about so when I saw you had a video blog I checked it out and I’ve been watching ever since.
As I mentioned on your Facebook page I really think you are a very genuine person who in my eye
Sorry Lynn my computer malfunctioned, anyway thanks for all you share!
Kind, Gentle & down to earth
I got to know you first through your video’s and that got my to engage with your elite group so that’s where I’m coming from.
The 3 things would be;
Gutsy (to ask this question)
Smart
Takes Risks
Generous with sharing your expertise, I know that’s 4 things.
I have trouble following rules
I’ve really enjoyed your responses. It’s so interesting to hear how others would describe you!
Now it’s your turn
http://www.lynnterry.tv/344/describe-you/
Mmm. good writer, smart, focused, easy to like (is likeable a real word?).
You must also have nerves of steel because I would be in pieces if what happened to you happened to me.
I’ve decided to learn how to write more conversationally, beginning with printing some of your blog posts and stydying them to see how you do it!
Likable (without the “e”) passes my spellcheck so I think so! lol
One of my tricks for writing conversationally, is to write as if I’m writing a personal email to someone specific. That has really helped me a lot, especially when I get “stuck”.
Intelligent, driven, caring, innovator. Loves food and huge dogs.
lol @ food & huge dogs haha
In a few words you appear to me as, generous, magnificent and strong willed.
Strong, self-motivated, caring.
I have been following you is some manner and form for over 10 years now. The more I learn about you, the more amazed I am at how strong you must be to go through what you have and come out on top. I have had some limited success, but am still trying to “make it”.
Thanks for doing all you do to help others reach success!
Comfortable with who you are.
Confident in what you do.
Kind and thoughtful in words and actions.
Yes, you occasionally surprise me, but that’s the fun part of getting to know you this way. The biggest surprise is that your life isn’t loaded with local friends. I bet most of us who follow you online, would want you in our social circle if we lived nearby.
Thank you Val – that’s the nicest compliment.
There are so many people I’ve met online… that I wish lived a lot closer!
For what it’s worth, I live in a socially backward town. That’s my perception anyway (It couldn’t possibly be me, right?! lol). And I just might keep to myself more than I should. haha. But I’m working on that.
I trust your judgement on your perception of the town culture. It may be best to keep to yourself until you land somewhere else!
Is it any wonder I love to travel so much?
I will say, I’ve enjoyed the people I’ve met at Curves so far, though there haven’t been any serious connections that jump out at me as “close friend material”. Just a nice friendly atmosphere, which is a pleasant change.
I also ran into a lady I’ve “known” off and on for about half my life (I lived here once for a few years when I was younger). We met again a year and a half ago in a bible study class. And I ran into her last week getting my nails done and we exchanged numbers – which was nice.
Speaking of bible study – which is a topic I REALLY enjoy – have I ever told you guys that I “dropped out” of that because I got YELLED AT in class?! That was quite the experience… and a good example of how “interesting” this town is, lol…
The lady who unloaded on me works at the most convenient gas station in town. And I avoid it like the plague, going way out of my way to fill up somewhere else.
Hadn’t heard that story… Yikes! All I can say is humans get crazy when mixed with religion or politics.
True lol. And I live in the Bible Belt
haha
Inventor and wise woman
Genuine, down-to-earth, introverted, Caring, comfortable with who you are, dog-lover, proud mom, Confident.
You guys are awesome! I really enjoyed ALL of the responses here. It’s interesting to see who picked up what, or what stood out the most to different people.
And we still have a long way to go.
Stay tuned for… the rest of the story (as it unfolds!)
“Casual, approachable, down-to-earth.”
A courageous and Interesting idea, kudos!
Thank you Bill. I like that word: approachable.
I was actually told recently that I was “not approachable”. This was following a live event, where I was admittedly not feeling well – and a little more than exhausted. That made me feel really bad, that I gave off that impression – unintentionally of course – as that’s not the real me at all.
Anyway, thanks – your words made me smile today!
Cautious, generous and smart.
I’m really honored to call you my friend. You have changed my life in so many ways, I’m thankful to have you & your family in my life.
Aw, thank you Angie!
I feel the same way. I really enjoy traveling together and working together! I can’t wait till our trip to NY in June.
Cautious, lol, I like that one…
You mean besides cute?
I’d say you’ve been nothing but honest and giving from the day I learned about you. Sure, you hide some of your sites, but there’s nothing in the word “honesty” that says you have to tell everything about yourself. I think you’ve given both your time and knowledge in working to help others become better at what they do online, which is exactly what people want from you. So, nothing else matters.
Thank you Mitch! I have a good reason for keeping some of my work private. I used to share ALL of my projects, but it seems some of my readers found it easier to totally rip off my original work than to use it as inspiration for their own.
I remember your saying that in a post a long time ago and thinking “some folks just ain’t no good.”
